History Since opening our doors in 1953, we've been providing pet owners with peace of mind through cost effective veterinary care services. Our current owner, Dr. Robert E. Burleigh, has been a part of our family since 1976. Since completing his residency in 1971 at the Henry Bergh Memorial Hospital of the ASPCA, Dr. Burleigh has worked with several animal and pet hospitals. His passion for the area and values of our community lead him to purchase Abington Animal Hospital.
